About once a month, we at Meyers & Partners like to get out of the office for what Michael (our President) likes to call “Fun Food Friday.” We harken back to the early days of advertising when a three-martini-lunch was the norm, and we sample local eats at a nearby West Loop restaurant.
This month, however, the M+ team thought we’d shake it up a bit and try our hand at volunteering for the Chicago Food Depository. We spent the morning weighing, bagging, sorting and boxing pinto beans for food pantries around the Chicagoland area. By the end of the day, we helped pack 6,000 lbs. of beans that went on to feed over 2,000 families.
It was a rewarding experience and fun was had by all! To find out how you can help the Chicago Food Depository, click here.
